I was really pleased to be invited to the first Don’t Panic, a Night of Story Telling, Song and Stand-up. I made some fantastic photos of the performers, and was really taken by the story telling abilities of Sharon King-Campbell. She is simply wonderful and her hands can really tell a tale!! I was front and centre and even picked on a little bit... that’s what happens when you are a Paps!
You can’t imagine the honor of being asked to donate an art piece to help raise money for the SPCA. It is a charity I hold so dear to my heart. My family has always been about pets and I have been so lucky to have known so many wonderful cats. My favorite little cat that was in my life up to just a little while ago was Lewis, and perhaps the coolest little Tuxedo Cat one could ever meet. Anyway... I had a lovely canvas of a Newfoundland landscape made and dropped it off the other day. Somebody will be very happy with this image ;)
So lucky to have been invited to the Burlesque in Bloom show, and to make a few images (3000!!) of the wonderful performers. I truly enjoyed the amazing variety of the numbers and was really taken by the David Bowie tribute by Wankergirl. If you have never been to a show.. you are missing out. Click over to islandbellesburlesque.com and check out when the next show is on!!
I have been enjoying developing my back log of 120 film as of late. I wish I could dedicate more time... but life and work always gets in the way. I love shooting film in this digital age. I prefer the mindset and I prefer the cameras. It doesn’t matter if it’s the ‘Blad, Rolleiflex, the Mamiya or even the Holga - I love square format and wish I could work in it all the time. Lately I have been shooting Fomapan from Czech republic and it is fantastic
This really made my day. I was asked to photograph the cast and crew of the 2016 season of Shakespeare by the Sea. I was a little concerned due to time constraints of only having a few moments with the fifty of so members of the troupe. There was no need for me to worry... everybody was fantastic and ultra professional. I would have to say that this was the most effortless and straightforward set of Headshots I have ever done! Thanks to all involved.
I don’t normally hype the Real Estate images I take, but I was so very happy to see my photos used in an interactive on-line brochure for Gibraltor Development LTD. They are quite the Condo development and I spent and entire day shooting the promo images. Amazing public rooms including a theatre!! As a side note... I have been quite busy shooting homes lately, and Royal Lepage’s Nevin Hollett is a fantastic agent.
Just back from a lovely 4 day adventure to Cape Bonivista Newfoundland. Fantastic imagery, great people and just a nice time away from the hustle and bustle of the city! Quintessential Newfoundland that is rooted in the Towns of Trinity, Bonavista, Elliston, the landing spot of John Cabot in 1497, and the rugged coast that has the most impressive of natural formations - the Dungeon!... I just loved it.
I work alot with the Hollett Real Estate Group, and I couldn’t of been more honored to get the call to shoot this fantastic house in Bryant’s Cove Newfoundland. Designed by the legendary Phillip Pratt (the Rooms provincial Museum, art Gallery and archives) this home is the most gorgeous I have photographed in NL. What was more fantastic is that Mr.Pratt Himself was on location and I was humbled to have a lovely chat with such a great architect.
A wonderful day at the beautiful Baly Hally Golf course in St.John’s Newfoundland , and I was lucky enough to be invited to spend the day shooting the event. Absolutely wonderful weather and fantastic golfers, I enjoyed every moment and had a real blast photographing the 70 or so entrants. Tonnes of great shots... and a sunburn! Congrats to the winners who are off to compete in British Colombia for the next level.
